Photography and stuff...

So I have made a plan...well kind of.:) I like to take pictures, and my sweet honey of a husband bought me my dream camera a couple of years ago. The Canon Rebel x...something, something....:) I just use the thing, it's name is too long, and I don't want to go look it up so I can look all smart on here. Anyway, I am pretty good at picture taking, but I am not like stupendously great. One of the reasons is cause although my camera is my dream camera I don't know how to use it fully. It has some automatic functions that I know how to use well...mostly the portrait function. Portraits are kind of my thing in photography. I love to take a picture of someone, and get the pic of them with all or most of their walls down and show them the real them. The them that folks see everyday cause they aren't worrying about somebody taking there picture. It is such a kick/silly passion of mine.:) It can take some time with some folks, and some people I just know I won't get them. Not always just because of them, but sometimes because of me. If they are someone who makes me nervous, or I care what they think of me, or I don't know what they think of me (remember my last blog about rejection issues it plays in with this:) then I can't get them. Children are the easiest. They haven't had a lot of time to for walls. I think that is why people always love pictures of children. Cause they just are being themselves, and it is beautifully gorgeous to see the real person that God crafted. Wow way off subject!!! I have friends who call what I just did going down a "rabbit trail". I love rabbit trails by the way.:)

Anyway back to the not knowing about my camera. I am going to try to learn...off the Internet, and by giving myself assignments. If I ever do get any followers y'all hold my feet to the fire on this one. So my first photography tutorial mission will be to find out about focal point, and something the pioneer woman Ree Drummond calls bochek...or something like that. I know that the focal point or points is the main thing the viewers eyes are drawn too. I think the bochek? is the fuzzy or fuzzed out portion of the picture. So I am going to do my best to search my little heart out on the internet..and my camera manual, and post some shots for my blog and post them to show what I have learned.:)

Last by not least I saw this scripture on a new blog I am following. I absolutely love it so much I posted it on facebook.
"This should be your ambition: to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands" 1 Thessalonians 4:11(New living translation) I posted the NIV version on facebook.

Peace Out!!!
